Dedicated to the hundred years since the birth of our founderUgo Vedovato, Novecento23 Centenario is a selection of the best intact and authentic Corvina grapes from the 2013 vintage, dried and vinified according to the traditional method.
Grape varieties: Corvina 100%
Alcohol: 15% vol
Winemaking: During the traditional harvest, a careful selection of bunches is placed on racks for natural drying. This technique allows the development of exemplary colours, scents and aromas through the concentration of sugars. After pressing, the skins in contact with the must extract the precious colour and the inebriating structure. The aging in big barrels and barriques for a period of 6 years enhances and strengthens the delicate balances created during winemaking. After bottling, the refinement in the bottle allowed this surprising wine to rebalance its broad structure.
Colour: Intense red, with garnet reflections given by the refinement and aging in barrels and French oak barriques.
Tasting notes: Rich, intense and pleasant perfume, with exultation of dried red fruit and notes that vary from morello cherry to currants. In the mouth it is structured, velvety and well balanced. The drying together with the alcohol make it full-bodied and pleasant with a fruity aftertaste.
Food match: It goes well with important first courses, recommended with red meats, skewers and braised meats. Excellent wine for special occasions and for meditation.
Serving temperature: Serve at a temperature of 18-20 °C, decanted before serving.
